Sombra Eatery & Lounge

Had lunch at Sombra Eatery & Lounge and was blown away. The vibe here is unlike anything else in the area. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this place was designed with intention. The layout, lighting, and decor all work together to create a space that feels both upscale and welcoming. The menu was creative and full of flavor. Every dish we tried was fresh and thoughtfully plated. What really stood out? The bathrooms. Sounds odd, but they’re a must-see. Modern, artistic, and completely unexpected! Definitely the most unique bathrooms I’ve seen in a restaurant. If you're looking for somewhere that goes beyond just good food and actually gives you an experience, Sombra nails it. We'll be back.

Everything was fresh and authentic Mexican. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. I wanted a cocktail with pineapple and our wait James asked mixologist to create something special.

Visited Sombra yesterday with my husband and sat the bar. 5/5 experience. What an awesome time we had. The place is beautiful and elevated- love the double bar concept and the vibe is inviting. The food and drinks were great- especially the Picante. Service was awesome. We conversed with the owner John and he was super down to Earth. We will absolutely be back.

Delicious food and phenomenal drinks. This unique spot has a pretty interesting layout with two bars, lots of seating, fascinating decor, and immaculate bathrooms. The drink menu will tempt you with the abundance of tasty options, and one thing that's great about this place is the flights. They have margarita flights, dessert drink flights, wine flights, dip flights, guac flights, and dessert flights. I definitely recommend getting some flights to get to try a variety. I had the dessert cocktail flight and my favorite was the churro drink, followed closely by the Mex-spresso martini. I also had the rum-N-cola pork taco and it was out of this world. Will definitely be back.

Sophisticated, yet laid back atmosphere. This is the perfect place to meet friends, take a date or grab a bite alone at the bar. We were lucky enough to grab a seat in a very packed house and found Lexy, our server to be enthusiastic, knowledgeable, in addition to her making some amazing drinks!! We started with the margarita sampler, which were very tasty. Then we explored some apps which and went to the steak! The steak dish was one of the best stakes we have had in a while. Cooked perfectly, with delicious toppings. We highly recommend and will be back!

This was our first time trying Sombra and it did not dissapoint! This is definitely the newest hot spot in RG! Every thing we got was amazing. We started with the charcuterie (pictured here) got two tacos each, AND the churros dessert. Amazing, will be back!!

Sombra is the perfect place for a fun night out! The food was delicious, service was phenomenal, everyone was very friendly, and the atmosphere was very fun and appealing. 10/10, would definitely recommend to anyone looking to grab dinner and have a fun time out in the East Greenwich area!
